You’ll soon be able to go whitewater rafting right in the heart of Montgomery! The city’s newest and most exciting addition opens in the Summer of 2023! It will offer a man-made whitewater experience for rafters and paddlers, an outdoor amphitheater, and fun outdoor activities like zip lines, hiking, and more!
Get ready to roll at Montgomery’s new skating rink located at Eastdale Mall. Previously known as the Ice Palace, an ice skating rink situated in the center of Eastdale Mall, the Roller Palace has been updated and is now open to the public. Get out and get active with fun for the whole family!
Located just north of downtown, Shady Street Trailhead Park is set to open in 2023 and is part of the city’s plan to expand the downtown riverfront area with more family-friendly activities. The park is the beginning of a five-mile stretch of green spaces offering gardens, walking paths, and biking opportunities, spanning the riverfront from north Montgomery to Maxwell Air Force Base.
