Breana Lamkin – mother
Alex Lamkin – father
Anna Lamkin – daughter (6 years old)

Can you give us a brief history about your family?
Alex and I met while attending Howard University in Washington, DC. Alex commissioned in the Air Force after graduation and we got married a couple of years later. We have lived together in Guam, Missouri, Georgia, and now, Alabama. Alex was born and raised in Greenville, SC. Bre was born and raised in Richmond, VA.

Alex Lamkin – Major in the United States Air Force
Anna Lamkin – first-grade student at Saint James School during the 2019-2020 school year
How long have you lived in Montgomery and where did you move from?
We moved to Montgomery in 2017 when Alex was stationed at Maxwell Air Force Base.
What church do you attend or are there any organizations that you are affiliated with?
We attend Frazer United Methodist Church. Anna takes ballet lessons at Alabama River Region Ballet, plays soccer for Barber Elite Soccer, and takes piano lessons with Summer Whatley. Alex plays rugby with the Yellowhammers Rugby Football Club.
Are there any events, locations or venues in the Montgomery area that you like to visit?
We spend a lot of time at The Tipping Point in Hampstead and are fans of Prevail Union on Dexter Avenue. Our favorite Montgomery attractions are EJI’s Legacy Museum and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice which we recommend that everyone visit. The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is also a great place to spend an evening.
What is your favorite thing(s) about Montgomery or living here?
We appreciate the pace of Montgomery and its close proximity to so many other cities.
Are there any activities that you like to participate in as a family?
We enjoy hosting and attending brunches with colleagues and friends in the area.
