Located in downtown Montgomery, St. John’s is the oldest Episcopal parish in the city. St. John’s is both traditional and contemporary: while our worship services are steeped in reverence for Scripture and the ancient practices of the church, we believe the Christian life is to be lived both inside and outside the walls of the church with open hearts and minds. St. John’s is both unified and outward-looking: we believe that Christians can be united despite our differences in theology and politics. At the same time, we believe that St. John’s exists for those who are not members…God has placed us in the heart of our city and has given us the responsibility to share the Good News of his love. We are located on the Civil Rights trail, a few blocks from the State Capitol, and our church is eager to work with partners to spread what God is doing in our city and join in. We’d love to connect with you, and we invite you to join us in worship—there’s a seat for you at this table, no matter your age or background. We offer two Sunday morning worship services, an in-person only service at 7:30 am and a 10:30 am offered both in-person and online.
