If you want to have a truly authentic Southern dessert experience, you have to try the peach cobbler and sweet potato cupcakes. - About: Of course, we can’t talk about cupcakes without mentioning the iconic Little Red Cupcake. Their red velvet cupcakes simply can’t be outdone, but they offer tons of other flavors as well! They post their deals and daily favors on Facebook regularly, so keep an eye out on their page.

- About: If you’re really looking for a variety of the best desserts Montgomery has to offer, we suggest taking a trip over to Shashy’s and checking out their menu. This bakery and restaurant serves pies, cookies, cakes, pastries, and more, along with delicious sandwiches and soups. They’re closed on Sundays and Mondays, though, so plan accordingly!

- About: If checking out one of Montgomery’s oldest known businesses interests you, stop by Liger’s Bakery when you get a chance! Liger’s is a full-service bakery that serves donuts, cakes, cupcakes, and cookies Monday through Saturday each week. P.S. They make some of the best King Cakes during Mardi Gras season!

- About: If you’re looking for a custom cake, we highly suggest giving Cakeology a call! They specialize in bridal cakes, birthday cakes, and more. They also serve homemade cakes and cupcakes in-store.
- 65 Federal Dr.
- About: This hole-in-the-wall shop might look unassuming, but their homemade doughnuts pack a huge punch in the flavor department. Make sure you get there early before they sell out— it happens almost every day!
- 1039 Woodley Rd.
- About: Located in historic Old Cloverdale, Fennel & Figs is a small local bakery that serves delicious baked goods, as well as small-batch jams and preserves. Their offerings change on a daily (Thursday-Sunday) basis, so keep an eye on their Facebook page to see what’s on the menu.

- About: Cafe Louisa is a cool little coffee shop located in Old Cloverdale that serves up delicious pastries, bagels, muffins, and more. They also serve food from neighboring Tomatinos, so you can grab your baked goods and lunch in one trip.

- About: Lulu’s Cake Shop serves homemade cupcakes, cake slices, cookies, toffee bars, and so much more! This is a great spot to visit if you’re looking for a true taste of “home away from home.” Check out their Facebook page to keep track of their special offerings and deals!

- About: CED (Creative Edible Designs) Bake Shop has a prime spot in Eastdale Mall’s food court, and they offer sweet treats that span everything from homemade cupcakes to chocolate-covered strawberries. Watch out for daily specials and deals on their Facebook page!
- 5800 Woodmere Blvd.
- About: If you’re on the hunt for fresh homemade doughnuts in Montgomery, you’re in luck! G&S opens at 5 a.m. on weekdays (and 6 a.m. on weekends) with some of the city’s very best local treats. They also serve amazing breakfast tacos and kolaches if you’re feeling extra hungry!
- About: Wild Yeast Kitchen sets up at the Montgomery Curb Market on a regular basis to sell their made-from-scratch bread and pastries. You can also arrange to pick their treats up in Old Cloverdale or have them delivered to the Prattville-Millbrook area. If you have a sensitive diet, this is a great option since Wild Yeast Kitchen’s products are free of preservatives, conditioners, and flavor substitutes.
