Hear from the locals on their favorite date spots in Montgomery and the River Region!

Kinsey & Andres de Torres

“We usually start of our date nights with some of the BEST sushi at Osaka Sushi Restaurant. We are big dessert fans, so we will head to Nancy’s Italian Ice after dinner to top it off with something sweet. After that, we head to the AMC Theater to catch a movie. For our day dates, we spend a lot of time in East Chase, whether that be shopping, snacking, or just strolling around. Our all-time favorite day date is going to brunch at Cork and Cleaver or the Bubbly Hen.”

MILLBROOK

“A typical date night in Millbrook would involve dinner at San Marcos and going to see a play at the Millbrook Community Players Theater! We just saw Clue and it was fantastic. Another fun thing to do is watch for events and concerts at Village Green Park. We love to grab a couple of sandwiches from Smokehouse BBQ and hang out at the park. We also love spending the morning together by grabbing brunch at Grits Cafe then strolling through Ingram’s Farmers Market.” – John and Angie Jordin

PRATTVILLE

“Our favorite date night is usually grabbing dinner at a local restaurant that we haven’t eaten at before. We love trying new things and have a goal of eating at every restaurant in Prattville! Our absolute favorite is Oak Tavern—it has the best food and views. We also love to spend the day strolling through the shops downtown and sipping on our coffee from West Main Coffeehouse. It’s usually pretty quiet and gives us time to talk and enjoy each other’s company.” – Josh and Jenna Horn

WETUMPKA

“We like to make a day of it: Start the day with a walk through the stunning trails of Wetumpka. The views along the Coosa River, through Gold Star Park and along the newly paved birding trail can’t be beat! Snag a savory hotdog from Grumpy Dog and visit one of the art galleries to take in the finest in regional art. Check local seasonal schedules for one of Wetumpka’s premier community events like Art Walk or the community markets. Finish the day off by making a dinner reservation and savoring the tastes at Our Place or Fire Steakhouse.” – Neil and Haley Scott
