Trick or treat yo’ self with some Halloween fun in the River Region. Here’s your guide to the best family-friendly Halloween events that are coming up- mark your calendars now! 

October 15 &16, 21-23- SweetCreek Farm Market Pumpkin Festival

Swing by SweetCreek Farm Market in Pike Road to kick off the seasonal festivities with inflatables, hay rides, and more! The best part? Parents get in free, and there will be plenty of vendors to shop with and live entertainment!

October 21- Bell Road Family YMCA Trunk or Treat

Bell Road Family YMCA invites you to join them for a night of fun! Activities will include Trunk or Treat and a spooky haunted bus in the parking lot. There will also be games set up inside the gym for the kiddos. 

October 22- YMCA Camp Chandler Annual Halloween Carnival

For the first time since 2019, YMCA Camp Chandler is having their Annual Halloween Carnival! Don’t miss out on tons of carnival games, a candy walk, a costume contest, a haunted house, concessions, and so much more. 

October 22- Realty Connection 7th Annual Halloween Carnival

Dress the kids up in their best costumes and bring them out for a great time playing games, winning prices, and simply having a blast! This event will feature inflatables, tons of homemade goodies, and even a movie at dark. Make sure to bring your flashlight– there will be a hike through the woods after dark! 

October 22- Trunk or Treat Daniel Pratt Elementary School

This Trunk or Treat event is designed specially for neurodivergent and special needs members of the community. Come out and enjoy the festivities– you won’t want to miss this! Just make sure to leave the scary masks and costumes at home. 

October 23- Thorington Road Fall Festival

Thorington Road Baptist Church’s Fall Festival will offer fellowship, food, and fun for all ages.  They’ve partnered with Grace Pointe Church to host an awesome community event. 

October 23- First UMC Pumpkinfest

First United Methodist Church’s Annual Pumpkinfest will feature a great trunk-or-treat, live music, yummy treats, and lots of fun! Happy costumes are welcome. 

October 23- University Church of Christ Trunk or Treat 

Join University Church of Christ for dinner, candy, and lots of seasonal fun!  

October 23- Messiah Church Fall Festival

Join Messiah Church for a day filled with fun, fellowship, and food. There will be a hay ride, an inflatable slide, face painting, trunk or treating, and more.

October 25- APPL Storytime Costume Parade 

The Autauga-Prattville Public Library is hosting a spooktacular storytime for kids of all ages. Children are encouraged to wear costumes and will receive special treats while parading around the library. Parents are welcome to bring individually wrapped, nut-free candy to the library by 10/21 for sharing. 

October 26- St. John’s Parishioners Trunk-or-Treat & Dinner

St. John’s Episcopal Church’s Trunk-or-Treat will feature inflatables and plenty of treats. 

October 26- First United Methodist Wetumpka Fall Festival

This free event held at First United Methodist Wetumpka is open to the public. There will be tons of candy, games, food, prizes, and more!

October 26- Landmark Church Trunk or Treat

Meet in the Landmark Church parking lot for an evening filled with tasty treats and plenty of family-friendly fun.

October 27- Coosa Candy Crawl

Make plans to attend Main Street Wetumpka’s Coosa Candy Crawl in your favorite costume and trick-or-treat through local downtown businesses and table sponsors. 

October 27- Harvest Festival

Airport Road Intermediate School’s Harvest Festival will feature a haunted house, food trucks, a gaming cave, and more! Bring 3 canned good items and receive a free bag.

October 27- Prattville Country Club Fall Festival

The Prattville Country Club is excited to start this new community tradition! There will be a hayride, games, prizes, food, and more.

October 28- Hampstead Library STEAMd

This is a STEAM education program for first grade and up. Celebrate Halloween with spooky science, including “bloody” handprints, dancing ghosts, and glowing slime. Register beforehand to reserve your spot!

October 28- Halloween at the Archives: A Spooktacular Family Event

Join the Alabama Department of Archives and History for a new, family-friendly Halloween event featuring a museum scavenger hunt, spooky crafts and activities in the Hands-On Gallery, a special exhibit of creepy collections, and a reading of the children’s book “Sydney and the Masquerade” by author Kay Whaley. Costumes are encouraged!

October 29- Grandview YMCA Monsters and Mummies Halloween Dance

Mothers and sons are invited to take part in Grandview YMCA’s exciting evening of costume contests, dancing, and plenty of laughter. Dress up in your scariest costumes or come as a dynamic duo. There will be a photo booth, food, and live music. Make sure to register both children and adult participants ahead of time! 

October 29- Millbrook’s 13th Annual Boo Festival

The City of Millbrook’s Boo Festival will feature community organizations and businesses handing out candy and providing fun children’s activities. 

October 29- Launch Halloween

This all-day Halloween event will offer a special time for toddlers 5 and under to come dressed in their costumes as well as time slots for all ages to show off their costumes and rock out to spooky music. There will also be a nighttime event just for teens. 

October 29- Trunk or Treat

Join Little Peach Feeding & Speech and Great Leaps Learning Center for an evening of family fun. Costumes are encouraged– don’t forget your treat buckets!  

October 30- Howl-oween Festival

Taylor Crossing Animal Hospital is hosting a Howl-oween Festival in Pike Road benefitting Chicks ‘n Pups Canine Crusade Rescue. This outdoor event will feature games, animals, bouncy houses, festival food, and music. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome! Costumes encouraged for people and dogs. 

October 30- Saint James Church Fall Festival

Come out to Saint James Church for games, food, hay rides, and more. Wear your costumes for this festive occasion to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve! The whole community is invited to this free event to go Trunk-or-Treating and engage with family, friends, and neighbors. 

October 30- Taylor Road Treats the Town featuring Bible Storyland

Experience the story of Jesus through Taylor Road Baptist Church’s Bible Storyland hayride. Eat great BBQ, go trick or treat down Treat Street, and enjoy games and inflatables.

October 30- Dalraida Church of Christ Trunk-or-Treat

Kids are welcome to participate in a costume contest and trunk-or-treating. 

October 30- Vaughn Park Church Fall Festival

Join Vaughn Park Church for trunk-or-treating, bouncy houses, games, a cupcake walk, food, fellowship, and more!

October 30- Christchurch Harvest Fest

Christchurch Anglican’s Harvest Fest will feature candy, games, inflatables, hayrides, and so much more. Get in for free with a donation of a new baby item to First Choice Women’s Center. 

October 30- Prattville First UMC Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat

Enjoy a corn dog dinner, games, inflatables, candy, music, and tons of fun at this family-friendly event. 

October 30- Journey Church Fallapalooza 2022

Journey Church’s Fallapalooza will have multiple games, tons of candy, hot dogs, and even pony rides and a petting zoo. This fall festival is completely free! Wear your favorite costume and make plans to attend. 

October 30- FBC Prattville Fall Festival

Join First Baptist Church Prattville for a family-friendly time of food, games, inflatables, and trunk-or-treating. 

October 30- Coaches Corner Bar and Grill Trunk or Treat

Coaches Corner is hosting their annual trunk or treat with local first responders in Downtown Wetumpka. Kids will get a free hotdog while supplies last!

October 30- First Baptist Church Montgomery Fall Festival

Join First Baptist Church Montgomery for an afternoon filled with food, games, inflatables, fellowship, prizes, and more fun for the whole family. Don’t forget to wear a happy costume!

October 30- Eastern Meadows Trunk or Treat

End your Sunday with a great time at Eastern Meadows! There will be plenty of goodies available for kids- costumes are encouraged!

October 31- Sheriff of Montgomery’s Halloween Spooktacular

The Sheriff’s Annual Halloween Spooktacular is right around the corner! Local businesses, churches, neighborhood associations, fraternities, and sororities will set up tables to give out candy. This is a great opportunity for kids to have a safe, family-friendly Halloween experience.

October 31- Trinity Presbyterian Reformation Party

All are welcome to join Trinity Presbyterian for games, pony rides, inflatables, music, a petting zoo, and more!

October 31- Eastdale Mall Mall-O-Ween

Head over to Eastdale Mall and let your kids trick or treat from store to store.
