17 Springs Sports Complex

Millbrook’s newest sports complex features 12 lighted tennis courts and 12 lighted pickleball courts. Once completed it will house four multipurpose turf fields, one grass field, another multipurpose turf field located inside a stadium/event venue, a competition track with field events, and six diamond fields for softball and baseball use.

Cottonwood Golf Club

With 4 sets of tees and a challenging layout, the course can range from 6,000 yards to 7,115 yards from the tips and provide a new experience at each hole. Over the years, it has hosted numerous professional and collegiate events, such as the SEC College Championship, and Senior PGA Tournaments. 

Cypress Tree Golf Course

The course is an 18-hole facility located on Maxwell AFB. It is open to Air Force personnel, their family members, eligible DoD civilians, NAF civilian employees, and other approved civilians. They now offer Fling Golf—a sport for non-traditional golfers that can be played at any tee, in any tournament, on any golf course.

Emerald Mountain Golf Club -Wetumpka

The Emerald Mountain Golf Club features an 18-hole championship golf course with a par 72 layout at 7,023 yards from the black tees. The course rating is 73.5 and it has a slope rating of 133 on Bermuda grass. There are five different sets of tees, offering an enjoyable experience for all levels of golfers. 

Gateway Park Golf Course

This course features a 9-hole golf course with a par 72 and features a fun and challenging layout. Gateway offers four separate tees for golfers of all levels. There is also a practice facility equipped with a driving range, chipping and putting area, and a private instruction area. 

Lagoon Park Golf

This beautiful, fully manicured 6,733 yard, par 72 championship layout course has hosted numerous tournaments of both regional and national significance. It has been rated one of the nation’s Top 50 Public Courses by Golf Digest.

This tennis complex is made up of 17 tennis courts and hosts regional and national tournaments throughout the year, while also offering Adult and Junior Tennis Clinics and private lessons.

Millbrook Tennis Court Facility

Located on Grandview Road, this facility is home to two lighted tennis courts. Visit the dispatcher’s office at the Millbrook Police Department to pick up a key if you want to use the courts.

This facility features 10 newly added and renovated lighted tennis courts and four new pickleball courts. Various classes are offered throughout the year, from kids’ lessons to advanced training.

O’Connor Tennis Center

Featuring 12 fully lighted tennis courts, O’Connor is managed by USTPR Tennis Professionals. Men’s and women’s round robins and leagues, junior tennis programs, and tournaments are held year-round.

The Pines Golf Club – Millbrook

This public 18-hole scenic golf course features 6,318 yards of golf for a par of 72. The course rating is 68.5 with a slope rating of 113. The practice area at the facility includes a separate putting green.

Prattville Country Club

The Prattville Country Club is home to a regulation-length 18-hole golf course with varied terrain, as well as three sets of tee boxes for a fun and challenging golf experience. The club also offers a full-length driving range, a putting green, and a chipping area.

This 13-mile trail can be accessed right behind City Hall in downtown Prattville. It spring-fed and shaded Class 1 moving water for kayaking and canoeing, with segments also well suited for tubing and pedal boats.

Mac Gray Park

Memorial Center Park

The park includes footbridges that link the Village Green Park to the Kids’ Kingdom, a custom-designed playground that has been recently renovated. The complex also contains a Community Center that houses the Senior Program, the Civic Center and four lighted fields for girls’ softball.

Montgomery Whitewater

The ANC is an outdoor facility offering outdoor-based educational programs and activities for the general public. Spend a Saturday hiking five miles of scenic trails and checking out the impressive 23,000 square-foot NaturePlex. 

Blount Cultural Park

The Shakespeare Garden, one of seven such major gardens in the country, isa 56,700-sq.foot garden complex that features plants and flowers, willow arbors, shade trees, and garden shrubs. The facility included a thatched-roof pavilion, public restrooms, and a 325-seat amphitheater.

Corn Creek Wilderness Park – Wetumpka

of Corn Creek and the Coosa River is the perfect place to see woodland and waterbirds. There’s also plenty of shoreline for fishing.

Fort Toulouse / Fort Jackson Park – Wetumpka

Explore the recreated 1751 Fort Toulouse, Creek Indian houses, the partially restored 1814 American Fort Jackson, and a 1,000-year-old Indian mound! Check out the one-mile long Bartram Nature Trail—it’s great for bird-watching. This park is also home to a 39-site campground. 

Gold Star Park – Wetumpka

This park features a walking trail with great opportunities for bird sighting right along the Coosa River. There’s also a boat ramp for easy access to the river, along with a playground for kids of all ages and several picnic tables.

MILB Minnie Massey Park

Overlook Memorial Park – Prattville

This park features both a walking trail and a playground. It also contains the unique Butch Ray Fragrance Garden, which is filled with plants and shrubs that can be identified and enjoyed by their smell.

Pike Road Agriculture, Recreation and Performing Arts Park

This 80-acre park off Trotman Road was donated by John “Bubba” Trotman and family. It is currently home to a multi-use covered arena for livestock and equestrian activities and large events, as well as a multi-use facility that includes meeting areas and classrooms.

Pratt Park was voted “America’s Favorite Park” by Coca-Cola in 2012! It features a newly renovated accessible playground, a small fishing pond, and a relaxing walking trail.

Robinson Springs

The three-acre passive park features an attractive water fountain and retention area to capture fresh spring water that comes from an aquifer that is a source of the “springs.” The park also has a gazebo, picnic tables, and sitting areas for your enjoyment.

Shady Street Trailhead and Park

Shady Street Trailhead and Park is an urban park developed by the City of Montgomery north of downtown to serve as a unique environmental experience as well as the northern trailhead of the Riverfront Greenway.

Spinner’s Park

Home to the Annual Spinner’s Pumpkin Patch Arts and Crafts Festival, the park also includes a playground, ball fields, grills, picnic tables, and a pavilion.

Swayback Bridge Trail – Wetumpka

The Swayback Bridge Trail winds through the scenic forested banks of Lake Jordan. It’s great for walking, hiking, and especially mountain biking. Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed!

Upper Kingston Park

The park included three lighted, two unlit soccer fields, a lighted walking trail, and exercise stations. The pavilion and community center include a kitchen and are available for rentals.

This community recreation area features a tree-lined walking path with benches, the beautiful Leyburn Memorial Gazebo, and a recently renovated custom-designed playground.

Wilderness Park – Prattville

Also known as “Bamboo Forest,” this park contains a forest of giant oriental bamboo that grows up to 60 feet tall! It also houses Alabama’s second largest Beech tree.

Co-Ed Adult Softball League – Prattville

Registration is by team registration only, and the league runs from mid-July through late August. Games are played on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at Mac Gray Park.

Prattville’s Co-Ed Adult Kickball League runs concurrently with the Adult Softball League, and games are played on Thursday nights at Mac Gray Park. The season ends with an exciting tournament.

This Alabama Bass Federation Club fishes Alabama area lakes and rivers, and it promotes the ideas of Bass conservation, environment, family, and friendship. Members meet at Bass Pro Shops in Prattville on a designated Thursday of each month and fish the following Saturday.
