Help us celebrate and honor these wonderful creatures, and also build awareness of conservation efforts of our long-necked friends, the giraffe.

The day will be filled with all sorts of activities including an artifact table, giraffe enrichment items, prize drawings, paintings by the giraffes for sale, a dress like a giraffe contest, keeper talks, giraffe holiday ornaments for sale, and everyone gets an opportunity to vote for their favorite giraffe at the Montgomery Zoo.  Wow!  That sounds like a lot of fun.  For this day only, Giraffe Encounter Post tickets will be $4 be person.  Everyone that participates at the Giraffe Encounter will be placed into a prize drawing.  A percentage of the proceeds raised for World Giraffe Day at the Montgomery Zoo will be contributed to Giraffe Conservation Foundation and Twiga Walinzi. #standtallforgiraffe #worldgiraffeday
