The Montgomery Dragon Boat Race & Festival returns for it’s 9th year at the Riverfront, kicked off by the 2nd Annual Gun Island Chute SUP Cup!

Race Day starts just after sunrise with the 3- and 6-mile Stand-Up Paddleboard races, followed by the Dragon heats. Team awards and the best-dressed drummer pageant take place midday in-between sets of live music. Paddlers and public can browse local vendors for food, drink, art, and more, or just rest on the Amphitheatre Green. Racing resumes after the lunch break with the semifinals and concludes late-afternoon with the finals, awarding of medals, and presentation of the Championship Trophy.
