Hog Days of Summer

August 18, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The sequel to our first event (Fall Equinox Festival), Hog Days of Summer is a BBQ & Music celebration raising money for Hogs For The Cause.   The event aims to bring Montgomerians together in a family-friendly atmosphere to enjoy great food and Americana music.

The 2018 ‘Hog Days’ will be held in Montgomery’s Union Station Train Shed on Saturday, August 18. The date itself (8/18/18) is a palindrome, and we think that means that the day shall start and end the same way: consuming great BBQ and music. The Druids Charity Club BBQ team has once again joined forces with Moe’s Original BBQ to put on a festive experience in downtown Montgomery running from the early afternoon into the evening.

To punctuate the celebratory nature of the occasion, an Americana themed music component consisting of three bands will be rocking the shed. The headliner will be the Banditos, a soulful blues-rock-country act out of Nashville. Rollin’ in the Hay out of Birmingham will provide a foot stomping set of “Newgrass;” while Fire Mountain out of Troy will round out the bill with their alt-country-Americana vibe. Please read below for band bio information.

Druids strives to create an atmosphere which is appealing to the entire family. As such, a Kids Zone complete with inflatables, arts and crafts, and games will be provided for enjoyment by guests of all ages.

Hogs for the Cause is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on helping families who have been affected by pediatric Brain Cancer.  While Hogs for the Cause is based in New Orleans, EVERY DOLLAR RAISED AT THIS EVENT WILL BENEFIT A LOCAL RIVER REGION FAMILY IN NEED.

Advance tickets are $10 and $15 day of show tickets. Go to Eventbrite to purchase your tickets.
