Fall Festival of Shakespeare

October 26 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

As part of Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s ongoing commitment to supporting both educators and young minds in Montgomery’s public high schools, Fall Festival of Shakespeare is an academically and artistically rigorous nine-week after-school experience that allows students to boost confidence, activate creativity, tackle heightened language, and collaborate with peers to build community. Students from participating schools spend nine weeks rehearsing a Shakespeare play with a resident teaching artist employed by ASF. They participate in a community-wide, theatrical workshop series with other professional artists to enrich the experience. Participating students have the opportunity to build community with other participating schools during the workshops and at the final, public Fall Festival of Shakespeare performances at ASF. Students who complete this experience will have greater fluency in text analysis, leadership, communication, and creative processes.

This year’s performance lineup includes:

  • A Winter’s Tale
  • Romeo & Juliet
  • Twelfth Night

*Single performance and discounted full-day passes are available.
