2020 Governor’s Mansion Christmas Candlelight Tours

On the first three Monday nights in December, The Governor’s Mansion will open for candlelight tours. Visitors can view the Governor’s Mansion holiday decor and holiday shopping at the gift shop. During the tours, rooms open to the public, which include the main entrance, dining room, sitting room, sun room and more, feature holiday decor by designers from around the state. While each room displays a different decorating style, all showcase a classic and charming Christmas look. Design and decorations of the Governor’s Mansion this year are by, Jerry Thrash of Capitol’s Rosemont Gardens and the Monday Morning Master Gardener Group. Tickets for the tours are available free of charge but are limited due to COVID 19 restrictions. Tickets can be reserved by calling 334-241-8824 or by going by the Governor’s Mansion Gift Shop prior to the tours. The gift shop is located at 30 Finley Ave. across the street from the side entrance of the mansion. Temperatures will be taken at the while entering, masks are required and social distancing will be practiced. The Governor’s Mansion is a 1907 Colonial Revival house located at 1142 South Perry St. in Montgomery and has served as the official residence for governors of Alabama since 1951.
