Volunteer Spring Serve Day at the Montgomery Zoo
February 3 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
ZOO SERVE DAY, Saturday, Feb 3, 2018, 9am – 4:30pm. A single day to gather volunteer groups to accomplish several tasks in preparing the Montgomery Zoo for Zoo Weekend and Spring school group season. Volunteers are needed to help with landscaping, trimming bushes, planting flowers, raking leaves, painting, and overall prepping the Zoo for the Spring season. It will be a great opportunity for those people that volunteer their time and energy to give back to the City of Montgomery Zoo and the River Region community.
Volunteers can be adults, teens, civic groups, school groups, church groups, businesses, military squadrons, and families. Volunteers ages 12-16 years old must be accompanied by a parent / legal guardian or a designated group chaperone. Volunteers under the age of 19 must obtain parent / legal guardian permission to volunteer. NOTE: At this time, we are unable to accept court ordered community service.
Everyone serving at least six (6) hours of volunteer time during ZOO SERVE DAY will receive one (1) complimentary ticket to Zoo Weekend. Also, all volunteers serving at least six (6) hours will receive morning beverages with snacks, lunch, and afternoon beverages with snacks.
